Forgive me the vanity. Before Congress signs anything, I suggest they do the following: Call every CEO and CFO of every institution who stands to sell assets to the taxpayer in front of the lawmakers and ask them three questions under penalty of perjury: 1) When did you realize you were in jeopardy? 2) Is there anything else on your books that is at risk? 3) How much do you intend to sell the taxpayer? Anyone lies, they go to jail. To buy these assets without knowing all the secrets is just nuts. We deserve answers.
